Karol Wojtyla, as a poet was first fascinated by the Bible and the Renaissance, as evidenced by the youthful collection of poems (published years later) Renaissance Psalter, referring to Jan Kochanowski. Then the subject of enduring fascination became a romance, especially Julius Slovak and Cyprian Norwid. His early works published since 1950 in the Catholic press under pseudonyms Andrew Jawień, AJ and Peter Jasien, and after 1961 years - Stanisław Andrzej Gruda. He was a collaborator of many years of the Universal Weekly.
The Council of Ministers Resolution of 3 April 2005 No 80/2005, published in the Polish Monitor number 19, position 307 introduced a national mourning on Polish territory from 3 April 2005 at the funeral, also called appeal to all citizens of the Republic of Polish, public authorities, government, social and professional organizations, other entities and institutions, and organizers of mass events for the preservation of national mourning and joint commemoration of His Holiness Pope John Paul II.
