In other words, although it was conceived as a result of the traditional approximation of the husband (St. Joachim) and wife (St. Anne) - miraculously (in sanctifying grace) is kept away from any moral consequences of the fall of Adam and Eve. Dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary's holiness states in relation to the sin of our first parents.
Although Scripture does not explicitly take the immaculate conception of Mary, the Church through the announcement of the dogma legitimately argued that the preservation of Mary from sin is the logical consequence of the biblical revelation. Biblical justification for this dogma are, inter alia, the angel Gabriel: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" (Luke 1.28), addressed to Mary in the Annunciation. According to Catholic theologians, they show that the soul of the Virgin of Nazareth, there was no place for sin, since it was filled with the grace of God.
The belief that the mother of Jesus was removed from the general rule of original sin - because of the holiness of Christ, the Son - existed from the earliest centuries of the Church. Augustine of Hippo (354-430), for example, in the context of a dispute with pelagianami who opposed the truth of the faith of original sin, acknowledged that the mother of Christ was exempt from the influence of any sin. St. Thomas Aquinas (1224-1274) commenting on the teaching of Augustine in the work of the Nature and grace, recognized the grace of the absolute sanctity of Mary's immaculate, having a source in Christ and being a reflection of His holiness. Niepokalaności grace was, according to medieval Doctor of the Church, Mary is not given at conception, but even before her birth.
